STARTING THE GAME (cont)
The starting players must have at least one of the tiles numbered 4, 5, 6 or 7 in order to start the game. If the person who draws the highest number does not have a 4, 5, 6 or 7 numbered tile, they miss a turn to allow the next player who has one of those numbers to start the game.
If no player can start the game, then players can at their turn, exchange some or all of their numbers. To do this, return the discarded tiles to the bag and mix the tiles.
Draw the same number of tiles from the bag.
If a player does this, they have to wait until their next turn to place numbers on the game board.
Players place tiles numbered from 1-10 in vertical or horizontal sequences on the game board to try to score the most points. TENSATION is a game of skill because where a player chooses to place a tile will have the potential to substantially increase their score.
Place all number tiles into the tile bag, and mix them up.
Each player takes a rack
To keep score use a pencil and paper (not included).
STARTING THE GAME
Players each draw one tile from the bag. Whoever draws the highest numbered tile from the bag plays first. If two or more players draw the same number to start, then a redraw takes place until a clear winner is found.
Playing runs clockwise from the starting player. Tiles used to establish who will start the game are returned to the tile bag.
Each player draws 8 new tiles from the tile bag and stands them in their racks.
